About Vietnam by Region and Our Editorial Policy

Who makes Vietnam by Region, how we research and write our guides, how we use AI tools, and how we handle corrections and affiliate links.

Vietnam by Region is an independent guide to travel, food and everyday life in Vietnam, organised around the country’s three regions: the North (miền Bắc), the Centre (miền Trung) and the South (miền Nam). It is published by LiC Agency, a Vietnamese creative and video production team.

Why we organise Vietnam by region

Most guides treat Vietnam as one destination. Vietnamese people do not. Accent, food, festivals and humour change from Hanoi to Huế to Saigon, and understanding those differences makes a trip, or a life here, much richer. Every guide on this site tries to explain not just what to see but what makes a place itself.

How we create content

  • Local knowledge first. Our team is Vietnamese and draws on personal experience of the places and dishes we cover.
  • Research and verification. We check facts such as history, opening practices and seasons against reliable sources, and we avoid quoting prices that change quickly.
  • Use of AI tools. We use AI tools to research, structure and draft articles, following our editorial guidelines and fact-checking against reliable sources. Our team reviews published guides regularly, adds first-hand local tips, and remains responsible for their accuracy.
  • Our own photos and videos. We prioritise original photography and short videos. Where we use third-party images, we only use properly licensed material and credit the source.

Corrections and updates

Vietnam changes fast. Each article shows the date it was last updated. If you spot an error or something outdated, please contact us and we will review it.
